History

Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 130 (the “District”) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, located in Harris County, Texas. The District is located approximately 17 miles northwest of the central business district of the City of Houston, Texas. The District, which contains 713.116 acres of land, is bounded on the northeast by U.S. 290 and is bisected north to south by Jackrabbit Road. West Road and Eldridge Road bisect the District from east to west and north to south, respectively. The District is empowered, among other things, to purchase, construct, operate and maintain all works, improvements, facilities and plants necessary for (i) the supply of water; (ii) the collection, transportation and treatment of wastewater; and (iii) the control of storm water and harmful excess water. The District is also empowered to establish, operate, and maintain a fire fighting department and facilities after approval of the TCEQ (as defined herein), the City of Houston and the voters of the District. No such department is presently planned by the District. The District is authorized to provide recreational facilities if approved by the District voters. No such facilities have been approved by District voters.

HCSO Contract

HCMUD No. 130 (the “District”) contracts with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (“HCSO”) to provide law enforcement services to the District.
